Office of Advancement

The success of Christian Brothers High School through the years can be attributed to a number of sources—strong leadership, involved parents, committed faculty, loyal alumni, and dedicated board members. This team has sustained our LaSallian tradition in Memphis for 149 years and counting.

Much of the school’s success is also the result of the financial support of our CBHS family, which enables us to grow beyond what our tuition covers.

Brother David Poos, FSC, is president of Christian Brothers High School. He took over leadership of CBHS on January 1, 2019, becoming the 19th President in the 147-year history of the school. From 1976 to 1989, Br. David taught at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Newport Catholic High School, St. Mary High School in Paducah, Kentucky, and LaSalle High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He served as President of Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1989-2002. Br. David worked in Development at De La Salle Middle School at St. Matthew’s in St. Louis before returning to CBC-St. Louis in 2004 where he served as Principal until 2015, when he began teaching English at CBHS.
