All vehicles must enter the CBHS lot at the traffic light on Walnut Grove Road or through the one-way entrance on Humphreys Boulevard north of the school.

If you're dropping off: Use the right-hand lane closest to the building, drop off at the Bell Tower, and exit the lot. The left-hand lane is reserved for students, faculty, and staff heading to parking spaces — dropping off from the left lane is dangerous and not permitted.

Before school, drop-off at Tom Nix Stadium or Heffernan Hall is prohibited; it disrupts traffic flow into the lot.

Exiting: Drivers heading west may use the secondary exit west of the traffic light. During afternoon dismissal, the one-way drive behind the school onto Humphreys Boulevard is also available.

A few standing expectations: students should arrive at least fifteen minutes before their first class; the speed limit in the lot is 15 miles per hour; and for the safety of all parties, drivers must remain alert and not be on their phones in the parking lot.

Start with his teacher. Direct conversation between parent and teacher resolves the large majority of academic concerns, and teachers appreciate hearing from you early rather than late.

Please also reach out to his counselor if you have concerns about his well-being, or if something has changed at home that would help us understand what he's carrying into the building each day. That information stays with the people who need it, and it helps us support him well.

Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, CBHS follows a revised Personal Device Policy governing cell phone and personal device use during the school day. The policy is designed to protect instructional time and the face-to-face relationships that define a Lasallian classroom.

Yes. CBHS recognizes that parents are the front line in creating healthy social opportunities for our students, and we ask every CBHS family to make two commitments:

• Provide active, present chaperones who stay informed about what is happening throughout any event hosted in your home
• Ensure that students have no access to — and do not consume — alcohol or drugs

When parents hold this line together, it becomes far easier for every son to hold it too.

CBHS treats the use, possession, or sale of any illegal substance — including alcohol, synthetic drugs, and prescription drugs — as a matter of serious concern for the student and for the community around him. Consequences may include immediate dismissal, and at minimum suspension from classes until a meeting with parents and administration takes place.

Random drug testing: Every CBHS student is randomly selected for testing at least once during the school year. Results are confidential. After testing, a student's name returns to the pool for possible additional selection. A positive result triggers a meeting with parents and a retest after 90 days at the family's expense; a second positive result during a student's enrollment results in expulsion.

Prevention and education: CBHS pairs this policy with year-round education — required drug and alcohol awareness sessions for students; assemblies before Homecoming and Prom; instruction in Religion and Ethics courses; and breathalyzer screening at dances and athletic events.
