Attendance Protocols
Reporting Absences and Late Arrivals
If a student will miss even one class, or if he will arrive late to school, his parent or guardian must notify the school by no later than 8:10 a.m. that day using the SchoolPass app. When the student returns to school, he should submit a note to Mr. Coward in Room 301 from his parent or guardian explaining his absence. When a student arrives late to school, he must check in with Mrs. Maness in Stephen Hall before reporting to class.

Early Dismissal
If the school nurse deems a student unwell and unable to attend class as a result, the Dean or Assistant Dean of Students will contact the student's parent or guardian to initiate the check-out process. The student will be picked up or dismissed, if driving, from Stephen Hall.
When a parent indicates a student will check out early (using SchoolPass), the student must report to Stephen Hall at the specified check-out time. The student will be picked up or dismissed, if driving, from Stephen Hall. Please note that a student may not be checked out after 2 p.m. unless he is dismissed by the school nurse, or it has been authorized by the Dean or Assistant Dean of Students.
CBHS has partnered with SchoolPass to make reporting and reviewing your child's attendance even easier this school year.

Guardhouse and Entrance/Exit Gates

The Guardhouse at our main entrance off Walnut Grove is manned from 6:30 a.m to 8 p.m. daily. Security monitors our parking lots after hours during campus events.

All entrance and exit gates in the Walnut Grove Lot are open for traffic from 7:00 to 8:10 a.m. (arrival) and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (dismissal)

Our N. Humphreys gate is open for traffic from 7:20 to 8:05 a.m. (arrival) and 2:57 to 3:15 p.m. (dismissal). Please note that this gate is for incoming traffic only in the morning and outgoing traffic only in the afternoon. Families may opt to take this route to avoid the traffic light at Walnut Grove and Briarview.
