De La Salle Scholars gain job shadowing experience

Our first De la Salle Scholars Job Shadowing Experience for Juniors and Seniors was a success last Friday, February 15.  Our students showed up on time, actively engaged in all activities, and said it was an awesome experience!  "I was very proud of all who chose to participate," said Cindy McRae, CBHS Counselor.

Wes Jackson, who is interested in becoming a math professor, shadowed Cathy W. Grilli, Professor of Mathematics at Christian Brothers University.  He also met with a computer science professor and recent Ph.D. students and attended a math class.

A.J. Waddell and  Christopher Raulston, who are interested in civil and mechanical engineering, and Jackson Herring, interested in the accounting/financial side of construction and manufacturing, shadowed Danny Johnson (CBHS '80), Sr. Project Manager, Linkous Construction Co., Inc. They met with engineers, the CFO, and visited a construction site at Idlewild Church in midtown Memphis.

Gerard Tavoleti, who is interested in banking, shadowed Spencer Hare (CBHS '95) of First Tennessee Bank.
