As you know, in September the Christian Brothers of the Midwest and the CBHS Board of Directors embarked on a search for the next President of Christian Brothers High School. Following the appointment of a Search Committee, one of our initial decisions was to engage the services of Catholic School Management (CSM), a division of Christian Brothers Services, to conduct a national search and to facilitate the work of the Search Committee.
Since the initiation of the search to find the best possible candidate, while remaining true to the educational mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the Christian Brothers, many thoughtful and prayerful conversations have taken place within the school community about the path forward.
Today we are announcing the appointment of Brother David Poos, FSC, as the next President of Christian Brothers High School. This is an exciting opportunity to continue the tradition of Christian Brothers’ leadership at the school.
Brother David truly exemplifies the most important and desired characteristics identified by the stakeholders who participated in the search process and described in the position profile: “An inspiring leader… a practicing Catholic who understands and embraces the Lasallian mission, spirituality, and pedagogy… an experienced administrator… a collaborative leader… an engaging communicator.”
Brother David brings a wealth of experience in enrollment management, fundraising, academic innovation, and campus management/expansion from his tenure at Bishop Kelley High School in Oklahoma and Christian Brothers College High School in Missouri. As a current member of the CBHS staff, he is keenly aware of, and greatly values, our unique tradition and role in the community.
Thank you again for your support during the search process and the transition for Brother Chris and Brother David.
