Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service emphasizes Lasallian principles
Christian Brothers High School held an Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Faith leaders from around the community of Memphis were invited to campus to lead small groups of students in discussion and prayer. Over 30 faith communities were represented from Catholicism to Judaism and Unitarianism to Presbyterian. Ministers, rabbis, and priests spent 15 minutes discussing the significance of the Brothers’ Way virtue of the month, love, as well as gratitude in their faith traditions. They ended the sessions by leading the students in prayer. Students selected three different speakers to visit throughout the morning prayer opportunity. The prayer service highlighted three of the Lasallian core principles: Faith in the Presence of God, Respect for All Persons, and Inclusive Community.
