About
Athletics at CBHS
The Athletic Department at Christian Brothers seeks to educate the whole person, not just the athlete. As an extension of the classroom, athletics at Christian Brothers seeks to instill Lasallian values on the playing fields, in the classroom and the community.
Competitive athletics are an important part of the educational process and experience. Students participation in Athletic programs reflect the school's philosophy of diversity, continued growth and achievement, and the development of the individual's greatest potential. The values of sportsmanship, self-discipline and perseverance are often learned through interscholastic sports. Most importantly, Christian Brothers athletics provide an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to learn the value of integrity, teamwork, cooperation and mutual respect.
Through Waves of competition and collaboration, we foster an unshakable bond.
Christian Brothers High School has a proud tradition in athletics. We expect our athletes, coaches and fans to represent our Christian Brothers community by displaying the highest standards of sportsmanship and self-discipline.
As a member of the TSSAA Division II-AA, which consists of 11 schools throughout the entire state, Christian Brothers has more than 500 boys competing within 16 programs each year. Our student-athletes strive for excellence in their sports and compete hard. At the same time, they work to fulfill their potential in the classroom and to be leaders within our campus community. Athletics plays an important part in making our school a fun place to be. We have a lot of school spirit! Our student sections are recognized as being the Best in the area. Our campus community loves to cheer for the Brothers!
A Key Part of a Brothers Boys' Formation
At CBHS, we believe that our students become well-rounded young men through their participation in and out of the classroom. Our extracurricular activities through the Arts, Athletics, Academics, and Clubs is what makes a Brother's Boy.
