In accordance with the Brothers' mission, Christian Brothers High School awards need-based tuition assistance.
Presidential Merit Scholarship
The Presidential Merit Scholarship is awarded annually to incoming freshmen who show outstanding academic achievement and potential, as indicated by their scores on the CBHS Placement Test. Once at CBHS, recipients will be expected to enroll in a challenging academic pathway that includes Honors and Advanced Placement courses. This is a merit-based award. Families do not need to apply for financial assistance in order to receive a Presidential Merit Scholarship.
Financial Assistance and Affordability
At Christian Brothers High School, we recognize that a private school education is a significant investment. Last year, we awarded more than $2.2 million in financial assistance and merit-based awards. Our Financial Aid Committee reviews all applicants thoroughly, and our goal is to support as many qualified students as possible.
By providing this support to eligible students, Christian Brothers High School continues the mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle. Through the generosity of our community, CBHS is able to provide need-based financial assistance to more than 35% of our student body. Our students recognize the opportunities available at CBHS and use the assistance provided here to prepare for their futures as they become Men for Tomorrow and Brothers for Life.
The deadline for entering freshman to complete the financial aid application is January 6, 2023 and can be submitted securely online through the FACTS online financial aid application. Please note there is a $40 fee paid directly to FACTS for this service. FACTS has a Spanish language conversion button in the top right corner of the screen.
For questions regarding financial aid for incoming freshmen, contact Lauren Volpe, Director of Admissions, at (901) 261-4918 or by email. For questions regarding financial aid for all other grades, please contact Dana Alford in the school business office.
*any information that is inaccurate on the FACTS application can result in altered financial assistance.
