Academic Peer Mentoring Program
The Academic Peer Mentoring Program is designed for any student who needs extra support outside of the classroom. The program will:
- Evaluate the student’s current study habits
- Encourage development of effective study habits tailored to the individual student
- Provide academic assistance with homework and preparing for tests
Contact your school counselor for referral to the Academic Peer Mentoring Program. Students will be matched with an academic peer mentor based on meeting times, academic needs, interests, and involvements.
Brothers Academic Support & Engagement (BASE) provides academic support to freshmen who are experiencing academic difficulty. BASE meets on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7:00 – 7:55 am and Wednesday morning from 7:00 – 8:55 am. Students must have a counselor referral to attend.
Please remind your sons that the peer-led Math Lab meets every Tuesday from 7 - 7:45 am and every Thursday from 3 – 4 pm in Room 108 for any student needing help in Math. Students should also contact their teachers if they are having difficulty in any subject and seek peer tutoring through their academic counselor.
Language Lab is held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:05 – 3:35 pm in Room 305. Students must have a teacher or counselor referral to attend.
