Student Guide to CBHS Computing |
|
THE COMPUTER LAB |
Computer Lab 501 is available for student use
before school and after school. Use is restricted to school work
only. During the rest of the school day, the lab is reserved for
classroom teachers.
The lab opens at 7:15 each regular school day
and at 7:30 on faculty meeting days.
The lab closes at 4:00 Monday - Thursday, at 3:30 on Friday, and at
1:15 on half-days.
If you have permission from your teacher to use
a computer during class time, you should go to the library where
there are several student workstations for that purpose. |

YOUR CBHS USERNAME & PASSWORD |
Each CBHS student has his own user ID and
password for accessing computers and the network. Your
username is generally your first initial followed by your entire
last name. (Example: If your name is Thomas Alva Edison your
username would be tedison )
Your password will be assigned at the beginning
of the school year. You will be required to change it the first time
you log in. Your new password must be at least six characters long,
and should be something easy to remember, but not easily guessed by
others. NEVER share your password. |
|
"MY DOCUMENTS"
|
Each student will have a limited amount of
personal storage space on the network. This space will be known to
you as your “My Documents” folder or the “H” drive.
This space is
reserved for CBHS school work only. Personal music, video, and
executable program files are strictly prohibited! |
|
STUDENT RESOURCES |
Student Resources is a section of the
CBHS website where you will view your homework
assignments, progress reports, schedules, and other student information. You can
access this from school and from home. Go to
www.cbhs.org then click on the word “Students” in the login box.

cbhs\username in the first box. If
that doesn't work, put username@cbhs.org

www.cbhs.org\username. It will not work.)
Username is the one you use at school.
- If you use AOL, you must minimize AOL and open
the CBHS website in Internet Explorer.
