Lasallian Youth Summer Trip

by, Connor Jackson, ‘09

This summer as many students are enjoying their time off from school, some will be in Chicago, from July 20 to the 25th for the Midwest Lasallian Schools conference.

“It is a mixture of service and social time,” said Mr. Justin Kuehl, moderator of Lasallian Youth at CBHS.

Mr. Kuehl explained that numerous schools from the Midwest Reigon will meet in Chicago and do service together.

Mr. Kuehl said that the project helps show students that Lasallian schools are not alone, but part of a large community of service, adding that it is also a good time for students to meet other students from different Lasallian schools.

Mr. Kuehl said that his goal for the trip is to bring about 20 students.

“The trip can also help students go somewhere they haven’t been before,” said Mr. Kuehl.

Mr. Kuehl said that they will not be working every day, and that one day the group will tour the city.

“Students can also get most of their service hours done for the school year,” said Mr. Kuehl.

The trip is open to all students, and anyone interested in going should see Mr. Kuehl.
