36. Lord, thank thee for this time
Lord,
thank you for this time this place, this day.
Give
me the strength that it will take to discover myself again tomorrow.
Give
me the faith to believe that MY NAME IS truly written in the palm of YOUR
HAND.
I
ask these things with the faith that you are our God and we are your
people.
37. YOU HOLD THE WORLD IN OUR HANDS
We thank you, Lord God almighty, for
you are a God of all for you are not ashamed to be called our God, for you
know us all by name, for you hold the world in your hands. And that is why
you created us, and for this purpose called us into life, to be your
people here on earth. Blessed are you, Lord God and creator, for giving us
a place of freedom and of life, blessed are you for the light of our eyes,
and for the air we breathe. We thank you for the whole of creation, for
all the works of your hands, for all that you have done among us.

38. PRAYER FOR JUSTICE AND PEACE
Almighty and eternal God, may your
grace enkindle in all of us a love for the many unfortunate people whom
poverty and misery reduce to a condition of life unworthy of human beings.
Rouse in the hearts of those who call you Father a hunger and thirst for
social justice and for fraternal charity in deeds and in truth. Grant, oh
Lord, peace in our days; peace to our country, and peace among nations.
39. I AM GRATEFUL
Almighty God, from the fullness of my
soul, I adore you. I am deeply grateful, that you have made me to your
image and likeness; that you ever hold me in your loving fatherly embrace.
Inspire me to love you with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all
my mind. Direct me to love all your children as my brothers and sisters,
and let me treat them the way I treat myself. 0 God, my soul longs to be
united to you and to rest in you forever. 0 my God, have the Holy Spirit
touch my soul so that I may love .you the way you love me.
40. WE FIND OURSELVES IN NEED
Lord God, every day we find ourselves
in need of you. We have many valleys to be filled, rough ways to be made
plain, and dry lands to be watered. We have so much to celebrate and
praise you for. Let us but experience the power of your Spirit within our
live, and awareness of your presence, the movement of your whispering
breath in our hearts. Made alive by your Spirit, we shall continue to
serve you humbly and praise you unceasingly. All this we ask in the name
of our Creator.
