Thank
you for considering Christian Brothers High School. Christian Brothers
has been educating young men in Memphis since 1871 and worldwide since
1681 when
John Baptist de La Salle
began teacher training in Reims, France. In
1900, de La Salle was canonized a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. In
1950, Pope Pius XII named him as the “special Patron of all Christian
Educators.” The Christian Brothers currently have over 900 schools in 83
countries. The headquarters of the
Brothers of the
Christian Schools is in Rome, Italy.
Admission
for the 2008-09 school year at CBHS is open to young men entering grades
9-12. The placement test for incoming 9th graders takes place on the
first Saturday of December and the second Saturday in February.
In order to take the
placement test, the incoming 9th grader must first be registered with CBHS and have paid the $75 registration fee. Upon
acceptance, contracts and all necessary information will be mailed to
the parents.
While
Christian Brothers High School maintains a fully accredited college
preparatory program of studies, multiple-level courses provide
flexibility for individual differences and abilities. In keeping with
that philosophy, enrollment is on a “first come, first served” basis,
and we take the first 230 students that have turned in the enrollment
contracts along with a deposit. Deadline for contracts is March 1st.
Tuition
for the 2008-09 is $8,100. Books and fees are estimated to be an
additional $800. Christian Brothers High School offers
scholarships, and financial aid is available based on need.
The business office handles all financial aid requests once contracts
have been submitted.
Registration forms in
PDF Format are available for printing. If you would like to request
