The National Collegiate Athletic Association governs over 900 schools in three divisions and sponsors championships in over 20 sports. High school athletes who are being recruited by Division I or Division II colleges must meet the academic eligibility criteria of the NCAA. During senior year of high school the athlete must request that his high school transcript be sent to the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse for evaluation. The Clearinghouse will provide this information to colleges requesting the student's eligibility status. Visit the
NCAA Eligibility Center for more information and resources for College-Bound Student-Athletes and their parents.
