Students collect hundreds of items for St. Mary’s Clothes Closet

Congratulations to the CBHS student body and the 32 Advisories who chose to participate in this worthy cause to clothe the homeless for the St. Mary's Clothes Closet. We exceeded our goal of 500 pants. We collected 736 pants!  We exceeded our goal of 250 jackets/outerwear.  We collected 296 jackets!  We even had 173 miscellaneous items like belts, shirts and shoes.

"Thanks for all you did to help ensure that the homeless will be warmer this winter," said religion teacher Gerry Taulman, who coordinated the drive. "They are the real winners here. They will be warmer this winter thanks to you."

Martin Johnson of St. Mary's Soup Kitchen picked up the clothes yesterday following the week-long collection at the school.
