Seniors embark on annual Day of Service in the Memphis community

On Wednesday, October 25, the senior class of CBHS embarked on the third  annual senior day of service. In the morning, 230 seniors gathered for breakfast and a prayer service before boarding buses from FedEx and venturing out to 17 different service sites around the city of Memphis. The boys spent the morning working at places like the Dorothy Day House, Associated Catholic Charities, De La Salle Elementary School and the Ave Maria Home. Their work varied from moving the offices of ALSAC at the Crosstown Concourse to completing yard work for Hope Works to washing cars and interacting with senior citizens at Golden Cross Senior Ministries and Signature Health Care.

The day provided the boys an opportunity both to work together as Brothers’ Boys and to live out the Lasallian mission serving those in need.
