Prayer Service kicks off International Lasallian Days for Peace

On Tuesday, September 19, the student body at Christian Brothers High School participated in a prayer service to kick off the month-long International Lasallian Days of Peace. The theme this year is Peace Without Limits, so the prayer service encouraged students to promote peace in their lives.

Focusing on these words from St. Paul: “Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry, but do not sin; do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not leave room for the devil,” (Ephesians 4:25-27) students were asked to consider various injustices in our world that anger them. Then in small group discussions, they talked about ways to use anger constructively  to instigate change. The student ministry team, along with campus minister Mary Delgado, organized and led the service.

Throughout these days of peace students and faculty are encouraged to continue promoting peace in their own lives and communities.
