Five more seniors commit to playing athletics at college level

Five more seniors commit to playing athletics at college level

Five CBHS seniors committed to playing athletics at the college level in a May 3 ceremony, held in Stephen Hall. This brings to 18 the number of students from the Class of 2016 who will competing in college sports.

Griffin Allen, catcher, will play baseball at Jackson State Community College. Griffin is the son of Daniel and Sandra Allen of Collierville.

John Louis Bland, third baseman, will play baseball at Walters State Community College. He is the son of Joseph Bland, Sr. of Memphis and Amy Powers of Memphis.

Preston Parker, pitcher, will play baseball at Dyersburg State Community College. Preston is the son of Janette and Richard Parker, Jr. of Bartlett.

Dominic Keilty will run track at Butler University. Dominic is the son of Kevin and Liz Keilty of Lakeland.

Louis Martin will play golf at Millsaps College. Louis is the son of Jerry and Lou Martin of Memphis.
