Francis Charles "Frank" Olita III

Francis "Frank" Charles Olita, III

Memphis, TN

68, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter Emily (Brian) Burks and son Aaron (Katy) Olita; six grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Caleb, Charlie, Lydia, and Polly; his brother Steve Olita; as well as many nieces, nephews, and his family at Christian Brothers High School. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Jr. and Louise Olita.

Frank was an engineer by trade, graduating from Christian Brothers College. After more than 30 years of work in the engineering community, he turned his focus to teaching. Frank spent the last ten years of his career sharing his wealth of engineering knowledge and experience and enriching the young minds at his alma mater Christian Brothers High School.

His passion outside of teaching was his grandchildren. Frank spent most of his afternoons either at a baseball or soccer field or at dance recitals and rehearsals. Dada will be missed by all.

His family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Baptist Memorial Hospital that helped Frank fight his final battle.

Visitation will begin at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, November 10th, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8151 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38138, followed by mass at 5 p.m.
