Latin students perform well at MUS competition

Latin teachers Hunter Wight and Richard Branyan took a group to MUS for the Nov. 16 Latin Fall Festivus, a local Latin competition of various tests and projects. Students competed both individually and in groups comprised of representatives from various schools. CBHS did pretty well for our first time there but, more importantly, our guys are now pumped about prepping for the state convention in April 2014. Pictured, from left, Richard Branyan, junior Philip Krog (2nd Place, Catapults, Small Division), junior Christoph Kesterson (2nd Place, Upper Level Certamen), freshman Andrew Scherson (3rd Place, Latin Phrases, Level 1), freshman Jonathan Forcherio, freshman Ethan Cox (3rd Place, Lower Level Certamen), and freshman Rudy Morales (2nd Place, Lower Level Certamen). Not pictured: freshman Riggs Markham (2nd Place, Latin Vocabulary, Level 1 and 2nd Place, Latin Phrases, Level 1).
