Students excel at TMTA math competition

34 CBHS students competed in this year’s regional Tennessee Mathematics Teachers Association (TMTA) contest, which was held April 14 at CBU. Congrats to CBHS freshman Zach Hammack, who finished in first place out of 43 Geometry students at this year’s competition!   His score will now move on to be judged on the regional level. Other honorable mentions are Freshman Dwight Moore (3rd place out of 47 students in Algebra 2) and Senior Henry Atkinson (2nd place out of 31 students in Calculus/Advanced Topics). "Way to go mathletes and their teachers! " said math department chairman Shawn Morgan.
