Record number of band students make All-West Band and Orchestra

Record number of band students make All-West Band and Orchestra

The Christian Brothers Band had a strong showing this past weekend at Arlington High School for the All West Band and Orchestra competition. Twenty-one students placed in the All West competition, more than any other year in the band history. Congratulations to the following students:

Joey Forcherio placed 1st Chair Orchestra and Freedman Steorts placed 2nd Chair in the Jazz Band both on Trombone. Andrew Devall placed 1st Chair on Trumpet and Cameron Benson placed 3rd Chair on Trombone both in the Wind Ensemble. The following placed in the Blue Band: Noah Hubbard placed 1st on French Horn,  Jack Franklin 1st on Tuba, Jacob Rodgers 9th on Trumpet, Anthony Padilla  6th on Percussion and Henry Atkinson 7th, Philip Sater 18th and Matthew Hubbard 15th on Clarinet.  The following placed in the Red Band: Max Thielemier placed 1st on Bass Clarinet, Jonathan Forcherio 4th on Trombone, Kyle Rains 3rd on Tuba, and Justin Labilles 4th on Percussion. Austin Lopes placed 1st on Alto Sax and Sky Stoerts placed 2nd on Bassoon both in the Gold band, and Logan Eavenson on Alto Sax, Connor Singleton on Baritone Sax, Nick Ireland on French Horn, and Will Royal on Trombone all made alternate positions.

Joey Forcherio, Freedman Steorts, Cameron Benson, and Andrew Devall will all be trying out for All State Band.
