Hundreds of Grandparents visit CBHS with freshman grandsons

The annual Freshmen Grandparents Day at CBHS brought hundreds of grandparents to the campus Nov. 20 for breakfast and a tour with their freshman grandsons. With freshmen coming to CBHS from dozens of different feeder schools, most of their grandparents had not been on campus before and were eager to check out this new school. A number of the grandfathers, however, did graduate from CBHS. In fact, in attendance were members of the Sampietro family which has four living generations that have attended Christian Brothers: Frank A. Sampietro, Sr. (Class of '35), Frank A. Sampietro, Jr. (Class of '57), Philip Sampietro (Class of '88), and his son, freshman Sam Sampietro. Also, cousin William LaBarreare (left) is a fourth generation Sampietro.
